ABOUT ME
My research project at UW will be on the Lower Shoshone River near Cody, Wyoming. I will be using sediment transport data to analyze the possibility of introducing flushing flows from Buffalo Bill Dam in order to optimize spawning habitat for the many trout species living in the river.

When I'm not doing research, I love hiking, doing yoga, and spending time with my family. I also LOVE to travel. I have had the opportunity to study and spend time in Mexico, Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, and Peru. I absolutely adore Latin America, and one of my life goals is to visit all of South America. In the mean time though, I enjoy spending time exploring my home here in the US.

Sedimentology

I use sedimentology as a way to quantify and concretize the concepts and ideas I have within the fluvial geomorphology realm
Environment- Society Interrelationships

I love looking at the connectedness of human societies and the environment surrounding them. On all scales, for example the construction of one building to the damming of a river to global climate change, humans have an influence on our planet and these relationships are fascinating to me. I want to focus my future research on specifically societal- river relationships and the ways culture, history, politics, etc play a role in our river management strategies and the way we view this resource in general.
